Find the Perfect Gift for Your Man This Christmas
ByIf you would like to get your man something he really wants this Christmas you will need to consider his style personality to make sure you choose a gift he really appreciates.
The Natural
The natural man is relaxed and casual. He feels uncomfortable in formal wear and even if he needs a smart look for work he won’t be excited by a new tie or handkerchiefs in his stocking. Instead go for a thick, comfortable sweater in a neutral colour especially if he’s an outdoors kind of guy. If he has outdoor hobbies a gift associated with these will also be gratefully received. If he’s more of a couch potato a comfortable pair of brushed cotton lounge pants or pyjamas will be ideal for relaxing around the house over the festive season. A practical canvas “man-bag” is the perfect accessory present for your natural man.
The Romantic
The romantic man takes pride in his appearance and is in touch with his feminine side. If you buy him skin care or hair products he will use them (and it will stop him pinching yours!) The romantic man enjoys clothes so would appreciate a new shirt. He’s not afraid of colour or pattern so make it something unusual, modern and colourful but not loud and brash. Because his grooming is good he will also appreciate gifts such as a man’s manicure set in a leather case.
The Classic
This gentleman feels very at home in formal wear so a good quality traditional shirt and tie will suit him down to the ground. He will prefer a proper handkerchief so these will make a good stocking filler and he’ll be thrilled with a new pair of cufflinks to go with his double-cuffed shirts. Novelty or “jokey” types aren’t his cup of tea though so avoid these as they will quickly find their way to the back of his bedside drawer. He’ll have a favourite aftershave that you can buy him again and again.
The Dramatic
This man loves to be the centre of attention and enjoys anything that helps him achieve that! So the perfect present maybe an expensive, designer watch, a bright shirt or tie or funky socks (not for the office!) This man is usually excited by the latest gadgets so these make great presents for him to show off to his friends. He’s usually into fast cars but if that’s a bit beyond the budget why not get him a driving day gift experience.
The International
This man is smart and elegant, up-to-date and looks great in smart casual clothes. Fine knit cashmere is a favourite so a new sweater or scarf will go down well. A roll neck sweater or designer polo shirt for him to team with a suit will also be appreciated. Good quality leather accessories like a new briefcase, wallet or belt are great ideas for this guy. He’ll appreciate a modern fragrance of aftershave but get him to try a few and find out what he likes. Often a golfer, golfing accessories are an easy option.
The Creative
The creative man will have a very individual look and may be considered by some as eccentric! He may be into art or music so a present related to these would be most appropriate. Creatives often have collections so an addition to one of these could be a good choice too. If buying clothes for a creative man, make sure they are not high fashion which he may regard as “tacky” or run-of-the-mill which he might find boring. Try to find a retro piece of clothing or an interesting hat or scarf. You may find what you need at a craft fair, one-off boutique or even a charity shop.
Whatever your man’s style personality, a voucher for an image consultation with a style consultant could really help him make the most of his look and give him a boost for the New Year.

What does your mom like? That might help when answering.
I just asked my mom what she wanted. That was the third "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie. Problem solved, lol.

it has to be a gift…not a gift card.
Jewelry always works, clothing does too.
You know her best…or you can ask her for hints and suggestions. Talk with her, tell her you need help. Take her out to lunch and talk with her.

Tell her you want to get her what she likes, because you want her to be happy with the gift you get her.

Take her shopping and let her pick out what ever she wants then buy it for her. (Not only is she getting a gift, but it adds on some "bonding" time)

Hmmm…..My Mom likes whatever I give her, she even says she rather something made by me than a store bought gift. You could try jewlery, purfume, chocolate, maybe a basket with a varation of stuff in it like cookies, lotions, bath salts etc. You should ask her so see what she wants to give you a better idea. Merry Christmas!!!
